I have an issue (due to my occasional bouts of OCD) with the mats and flooring in the FJ. Is there a way to keep the mats from being kicked all over the place?? The grooves in the floors are a good start but the material on the floor is kind of slick and doesn't allow the mats to kind of hold on.
2ndly, Has anyone come up with something that protects the plastic backing on the rear seats? I have already scratched the crap out of it from hauling dogs, bikes, and the girlfriend around (jk). Seems like the stuff is kind of cheap and scratches easily, same with the paneling.

In my passenger glove box there were small "clips" that I was told were to hold the floormats in place. I haven't used them yet, but you may want to look into it.

I did find two of my 'floor mat hooks' attached and two in the glove compartment, when my FJ came in. I didn't buy the FJ matts, instead picked up another rugged looking cheaper set. The hooks do help with keeping them in place. They snap into the die cut holes under each seat.
Be careful not to push in the button on the back of the hook while saying to yourself "what does this do?" - because you'll have to release the prongs on the reverse side that spread out attaching it to the flooring. (Duh... what was I thinking?)
The plastic interior does easily scratch. I threw in an old moving blanket that I use to protect the back. But I sure would like to find a way to get rid of the scratches I have. Anyone have a suggestion?

I should have been more clear I guess, I have the hooks in place but the mats still get kicked around and when I stick the paste eaters AKA friends in the back the mats end up under the front seats. FYI, don't wipe down the flooring with someone like armor-all because it makes them even more slick. They could have picked a better material instead of the plastic though.
