Ok, so the question is about the spare tire
Do you cover it, or don't you.
What are the pro's and con's?
I live in a humid hot climate in the summer, so I want to know if I should cover the tire or not and I really don't know if I should. I would love to hear why or why not.
Thanks

I'm looking for a cheap cover for the winter. I notice salt shoots up the back of the truck and the lugs are starting to rust. (I'm in Canada)

The cover is really just for looks (and it looks awesome!) but for me, I prefer not having one, maybe because I think it would hold the salt and rain water there and be a pain in the ass leaving water trails after a wash.

I don't use one. Mainly because there isn't one big enough.
But I would rather see the cool tire on the back. Covers make it look too much like a soccer mom vehicle.
One pro would be the fact that it would shade it from the sun. The sun can do quite a bit of damage if it's never put into the tire rotation. But if you rotate it, it won't be a problem.

I too like seeing the tire/rim on the back. I just wonder with the tire's exposure to sun and humidity and non usage if it would be damaging in any way. I plan to rotate it with the other 4 whenever I rotate the tires.
