Nice, thanks for the advice. I was just reading something on another site about the FJammer Stereo having some kind of Headliner intergrated speakers?? What the heck does that mean? Are they just the ones in the D-Pillars????

Do you know if I can just install that FJammer Stereo head unit in there and add the speakers and it will be the same thing or did Toyota put different speakers in there all together on the upgraded stereo?

Thanks,

toyota put speakers in the headliner kinda where the sunroof would go. If you use the fader and put all sound to the back and put your ear to the roof you can hear them. all the speakers in the front dash roof and rear pillars are the same size. I would say check ebay out and try to get some pics of the plug connections. you can also buy one from ebay every now and then. I think both the plugs should be the same b/c they are both toyota products. you also do not have to put the rear pillar speakers in if you dont want to once you get the FJammer it will still work fine.

As you may be able to tell I don't know much about stereo's,, Which plugs are you referring to the ones that plug into the back of the head unit???? So these headliner speakers are in all the FJ's??

Do you know if the wiring for the sub is already there??? I heard the wiring for the rear pillar speakers is there but I'm not sure about the sub yet..

I just bought my FJ VOODOO Blue offroad. Super pumped. I can pick it up later this week they have got to do the hitch and other add ons.

Thanks again..

There is a plug that plugs into the rear of the headunit (cd player) and that has the power wire speaker wires and such. they should be interchangeable from one toyota product to another.the are quick connect plugs. you push in one little tab and they are able to be pulled apart. to see if you have the sub wiring plug go to the rear of the car. remove the plastic cover over the passenger rear well. under there should lie a little white plastic plug that maybe clipped in place to some sheet metal. it may have 10 or so wires going into it. not very sure about the number of wires though. if you search the forum for the factor sub you will see that one of the links has a pic of what it will look like. this is the type of plug that goes into the back of your head unit also.

To put the FJammer deck in, you do not have to add, or change speakers. Just plug the new deck to what you have. The sub wiring is there. I was able to add a sub to the existing wiring that was back there. You will have to add an amp and power source, but the wires for input are there, as are the rear pillar speaker wires.

It would probably be cheaper to keep your stock deck, ( I have the base one too) and add sattelite radio that tunes in to a radio frequency.
