I am installing a incar computer in the fj cruiser
(MP-SC8 Mini P4 Aluminum Mini PC)from xenarc
wonder if anyone already installed one, looking for the right 7"inch lcd display to take the place of the factory radio.
Does anyone knows? has anyone already replaced the radio with a vga computer display?

Hello haler57 and welcome to our community.

I've installed a pc into my FJ as well as the last few vehicles I've owned, beginning with a lexus about 7 or so years ago.

As far as lcd screens you can go with a flip out 7" touchscreen or a double din mount 6.5" lcd touchscreen.

I went with a 7" flip out so I would still have a radio and dvd player as well as amplifier to power the speakers. That option made the most sense to me since I wanted an FM radio and dvd player easily accessible.

If you don't want a head unit with an amp and radio the double din lcd probably makes the most sense.

Here's a pic of my install in progress.

BTW- I wouldn't recommend the flip out LCD I have. The quality is subpar compared to a xenarc 7" lcd I owned.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
