I've all but settled on a new FJ (2008) as my new vehicle of choice. I live in an apartment at the moment, with a tight underground parking (6'-6"). I need to find a roof rack for the FJ that will allow me that kind of clearance - or ideally 6'-4" if possible... I was thinking of picking up the ARB fit-kit and then having the local shops build a "flat" version of the ARB rack to mount up top... Any suggestions?
