Ok, most of you know I'm new to the FJ world. My first mod is a lift kit. I ordered a 3" suspension lift. What's a good size tire I can fit on the factory 17's. 285, 295, 305? Want it to look beefy. I'm prolly going with some nitto terra grapplers. So help, PLEASE!!!!

The most popular size with the 3" lift crowd is 285. they fill up the wheel well nicely, provide some tire lift and don't rub (if you have a body mount chop).
I went with 295 and ended up rubbing the stock upper control arm until I got wheels with some offset changes and aftermarket UCA.
if you go with the bigger sizes just be ready to have some rubbing, especially when your flexing your suspension over an obstacle. See Road Trip Adventure Blog for pictures and videos of my rig as well as random rants MODs: change in attitude, Baja Design Lights and way too much Metal Tech to list

I went with Revtek's 3" in front 2.5" rear split spacer leveling kit with 285/75R16 Toyo MT's and have no rubbing, no cutting, and fills the well perfectly. Hope it helps.
