Cargo area scratches easy need help
Date: 2006/09/17 02:22 By: Voodo John Status: Visitor

Does anyone know if the is some kind of after market cover for the rear cargo area to prevent the back of the seats (the simulated rubber) from getting all scratched up. I put some thing in the cargo area that required me to put the seats down and that area gets scratched very easy. Any ideas?????

Try this, get a heat gun and go over the scratches with it. Don't get too close or you'll melt the plastic. But a couple swipes over the scratched areas with the hot air, will blend the colors and get rid of the fuzzy lines!

Hummmmm - heat gun!!!! I'll give that a try next. I did a rub fill with a gray epoxy paste that filled the deep gauges and blended the lighter scratches to the darker plastic.
BTW: This stuff worked great in filling in scratches on the plastic bumper of the wife's gray minivan.
