Hi all, I just swapped my BMW Z4 Coupe for a used 2007 FJ here in the UK and have a question for you guys with the knowledge....I've read lots of posts about the read door windows being fixed, but always thought the rear screen on the boot or hood opened? I see on the Toyota website that the 2008 model has "Rear-hatch glass window with release lever".
My FJ has the hinges and looks like it should open, but I can't see anyway to open it - can anyone tell me if the rear-hatch window should open on all 2007 models? If so, am I being really dumb in not working out how to open?
If it was an optional extra to have an opening rear-hatch window, has anyone modified their fixed window to be openable?
Help appreciated by the dogs as they may get very hot (if England ever sees the sun this year!) - it's not like I can go ask the dealers here - they don't know what an FJ Cruiser is! Thanks, matt

You aren't dumb. Put the key in the back keyhole and turn the opposite way and hold for a second.

Yep. I think it's to the right. Then hold for about 2 seconds. The window will pop up. Then you have to lift it up. Sometimes it takes quite a slam to close it, too.

It took me two weeks to figure it out!
