I put an extreme truck toys leveling kit on the front of my FJ and raised it up about 2 1/2". The headlights are now shinning in the trees and not the road. I went to Penske Toyota yesterday and three tech's looked for ten minutes trying to figure out how to adjust the headlights. No luck, anyone got a clue ?

To my knowledge 2 ½ in the front is over level. 2in. is the appropriate height this my be why your having the problem, and if you were to tow you could call batman to the rescue as your lights would be aiming for the sky. As to fixing your problem, I believe that these lights are a fixed unit and some custom wedging might be in order. Hope this helps!

Apparently there is an adjustment screw that will lower the lights. I just installed a leveling kit as well. I will try to and post the results.

The correct distance on my vehicle to level it was 2 1/4" setting on a bear alinement rack but I'm not going to argue over 1/4". I called Toyota yesterday here in Southern Cal and they faxed me 13 pages of instructions and specifications on how to adjust the head lights both vertical and horizontal. They are not a fixed unit! They show two screws on the back of the unit that there is no way in hell to get to. I'm thinking I'll drill a 1/4" hole in the metal behind the plastic housing in order to get to it with a screwdriver. You would think they would have put one in at the factory but that would be to simple.

Thanks for the help. The picture Toyota send me doesn't give enough detail to tell from which direction the picture was taken from plus the fax quality doesn't help much.
