I've mounted an ARB roof rack and want to add four IPF driving lights. My question regards the wiring of said lights. I was told the wires coming down from the lights go alongside the door and down behind the rubber door molding, so there is no drilling of the roof. Another friend said that would look amateurish and the roof must be drilled and wire run down through there. Any suggestions for getting these light wires into the cab? Thanks EugeneFj

Are you crazy!!! Don't drill through your roof, you'll never be able to seal it good enough to last. If you look at the FJ manual it shows where the wires should go. There is also a wiring harness already in place for the lights. Justtake off the side pillar to see. Also the console is wired for the switch and the engine compartment is prewired for the relay. The onle thing that I'm not sure of is the wire size.
Good luck...

Drilling holes in your roof is the equivalent to drilling a hole through your floor board...

Hey Booner,
I'm really interested in where the connection for the relay is. Also, my FJ has side curtain air bags, which are located in the pillars you suggested had the harness, what do I do there? You mentioned all of this is in the FJ Manual but I couldn't find it...can you tell me where this is located? Does anyone else have suggestions? Thanks guys!

I've heard that the wiring is already there, as well, but I haven't looked. Good luck. PS...don't drill a hole in your roof!
