Does anyone have any experience with the Vortec, Tornado or Turbinator type of "Super Charger"? Its the device that creates the vortex (tornado) airflow. They claim increased horsepower and some better fuel economy. They run about $60. Just trying to get opinions before I decide to put one on my FJ.

its a load of crap ..... when you see incredible devices like the Turbinator contact the manufacturer and ask them about how it works or better yet how it aceives the claims the company makes about its product ...... my 2 cents would be stay away from crap that people try to sell as a revolution in technology.

Yes. I've since read numerous reviews. They all say its a load of bologna. If it were that simple then all manufacturers would be doing it at the factory.

I think I read somewhere that the F.T.C. had tested over 2,000 wonder products that made claims like "increase your horsepower and improve your fuel economy". The end result was that none of them worked as stated by the manufacturer.
There are some users who swear by them though.
Maybe we should take up a collection and buy one for a lucky member here and have them test it and post the results.
I'm in for $5.00 Anyone else?
