Expensive for sure, I should have said even more expensive summer. I guess after paying $3.00 for a gallon of gas, I think $2.75 a gallon is cheap

our dealer told us as well that otyota had "officially" said that regular was OK... that only effect was to lose about 4hp... sure would like to see an official copy of that memo

If you look at it as a whole, premium is like 20 cents more than the cheap stuff. You are talking aboutless than $3 a tank if you fill up when the fuel light comes on (the light comes on at approx. 5 gallons left). Generally, you will also get better gas mileage with premium too (especially on the highway).

I had heard if you use regular unleaded that severe pinging will occur and there will be a decrease in performance.I have been using premium since my FJ was delivered 2 weeks ago. The cost of premium in the GTA is averaging now $1.06 a litre
