Okay, it's been 5 months now since I purchased my 2008 FJ and I've not had any problems with it. I'm still getting about 19 mpg and I've gone kayaking 3 times. I'm taking it on a 10 day road trip up the coast to Portland Oregon and I'll be taking my kayaks and bicycles with me, I'll report back around the middle of Sepember. Anybody else have a 2008?

Just an FYI: while detailed posts will no doubt help some people, I can only include data submitted through the survey process in the analysis.

Next update in August for the 2007.

Still short on 2008s.

That update next week.

Fifteen 2008s are now signed up. Better, but still far from the 103 for the 2007.

More is always better with sample sizes.

That result has been posted for the 2007, indicating a better than average repair rate.

Note that this analysis only includes completed repairs, so owners' experiences with inner fender cracks might not be fully represented.

A few more 2008s have joined, but still not enough data for a result. A few more could do it.
