streebeck - my neighbor gave me 1000 "man points" for the Cruiser purchase. And if I take it off road I get 10 points each time, getting stuck, ups it to 25 points, getting it out yourself = 50 points.
Now, I'm over 50 years old, and his parents (in their 80's) asked me (when I showed them the car online) "Why don't you get a nice luxury sedan?". My reply was "Well, I'm not old enough yet!"

AF, even us types are relentless when it comes to what you drive. Parents are taken in to consideration though (minivans).

Re taking parents into consideration: It's the reason I got the running boards -- to take my 82-year-old mother to the doctors, etc. I thought of using block and tackle and a boatswain's chair to get her into the vehicle but laziness won out.

--That sounds about right to me. Glad to hear you earned your points back...even more glad to hear that owning the FJ is worth so many points!
