I have a 2007 FJ, I just got my fourth bad windshield rock ding today. Does anyone know of a better more chip resistant windshield than the Toyota factory windshield? I have also heard that the FJ windshield is a booger to get to seal properly when it is replaced. I am a field geologist in West Texas. I drive down a lot of rough caliche roads, between them and the highway, I am losing the windshield battle. I would like to hear from anyone has any ideas about which way to go on my windshield.

I didn't have any trouble out of my toyota windshield. I had to replace it after a lug nut impacted it. Guardian Auto Glass broke 3 aftermarket windshields in their shop before they got it in right. But they didn't know to replace the plastic clips on the cowl, so I had to order and replace them myself. It's been a few months and the new widnshield has taken a few hits without breaking. I honestly prefer the Toyota widnshield, it seems thicker and has more sound deadening at highway speeds.
