I installed a second Optima battery. My amplifiers run off it, and I have a power source that is always on as well. I run my small 12 v fridge when I go camping, or I can plug in my inverter to it.
Because it's coming off the second battery, and the 2 batteries are seperate from each other, I will always be able to start the truck, even when I kill the optima with the fridge. When I fire up the truck, I flip the switch, and both batteries get charged.
