I am trying to install a voltage inverter on a non equipped FJ. I've already bought the socket and I know it's wired already for one, but I am having trouble finding a stock part. (dealer wants $1400, not happening) Does anyone know who supplies this part, or do you know someone upgrading their model?

$1400??? Wow. Look at local wrecking yards and see if they have a wrecked FJ with one in it.

I wouldn't even bother trying to put the Toyota inverter in. Aftermarket power inverters are much more powerful, and a heck of a lot cheaper.

1400 big ones!!!!???? Should have just went for the upgrade package at that end. I agree.... go for an aftermarket one. They are more stable and will provide you with ability.

As much as I like factory (built-in) stuff, I agree here. Go aftermarket. The factory one is only 400W anyhow. Since you already have the socket, etc.. Buy a small 400W aftermarket unit, mount it to the FJ somewhere and wire it to the socket. NEXT.. Buy a 1000W+ aftermarket unit that connects directly to your battery for when you need more power.
