I've got a 2007 TRD. Does anyone know what offset a set of ATX thugs (18x9) would have to be? I plan on using a 3" inch lift. Also, How big of a tire will a 3" lift clear?

I have a set of 33 inch nitto terra grapplers on 17 inch rims with a 3 inch skyjacker liftkit and had no problem with the tires rubbing . then I installed a set of 1,inch spydertrax wheel spacers , for a 2inch width gain at this time my tires started to hit the body mount located behind the plastic mud flap . so i took a razor knife and cut the plastic mud flap back and then used a cut off tool to remove some of the metal on the body mount and then used a grinder to smooth off the cut . long story short no more rubbing . good luck

I'm curious. What's a 2" wheel spacer? Does that pull your wheels out from center? ie: width-wise?

Spacers are usually machined out of billet aluminum and used to prevent rubbing and widen the track to provide better handling, But I have to admit I've never heard of a spacer that's more than 1". Think of the incredible amount of leverage placed on the longer bolts and really the whole front end from the hub outward using a 2". I don't think it is a very good idea.If the tires weren't rubbing without them, why use them at all?

the wheel spacers have made a big difference in the way my fj handels on the road at higher speeds and the ride in deep suger sand has improved as well , the wider stance helps with the traction
