As of right now, I bought an FJ without the subwoofer in the back and I've always wanted to put one in Is it possible to add the subwoofer without the switch in the front?

There are lots of ways to do it.

In the photo gallery are a few.

Also in the Videos and Manuals search for subwoofer or stereo, there are install guides to help you along.

yes, i installed the subwoofer without the switch. all you have to do is remove the cover plate where the switch is supposed to go. then you will see a wiring harness with two wires--simply jump the the two wires with a paper clip or similar and put electrical tape over it to protect it, then put the cover plate back on.

i put a bazooka tube in and did nothing with the switch at all. works fine. i also amped the front and replaced all factory speakers. it helped a lot with sound quality.

Hi Sandyd Nice job on replacing your speakers, the factory ones are really good for nothing. Was there a good deal of modification with the dash and pillar speakers? I replaced my door speakers with JL Audio and I want to do the dash and pillars but don,t know what fits, any tips?
Thanks Nick.
