Somehow painting your white top to match the body seems sacrilegious. That kind of action could lead to excommunication. I'm all for pimpin' your ride, but to change the nature of the beast... it's like painting a zebra all black! Then you've got a funny looking horse. It occured to me the other day, when I was golfing that the white top of the FJ has that same look and feel as the top of a golf cart. Guess that's why I like the stlye.

I have heard that there will be a limited edition all black FJ. Can't remember what else was diffrent, but the roof was gonna be black.

I saw an all-black FJ on the freeway about four days ago. I drove up next to it to check it out. The windows all had black-out tint on them (highly illegal in my neck of the woods) and the driver seemed irritated that I moved up alongside of him to check out his ride...he scooted over to the slow lane as soon as I came up on his left and made his way onto a different freeway.
I suspect that it may have been either a prototype "limited edition" or maybe some rich guy who had $20,000 laying around to put into his FJ. It had a rack that looked different than the stock rack, but nothing like the Gobi at all. It was sporting shiny aftermarket rims with BFG Mud Terrains. I definitely did NOT like the roof painted the same color as the car. The vehicle looked like some sort of Area 51 special ops vehicle or some sort of Israeli fast attack vehicle.
Anyhow, it looked way too pretty for the dirt with all that fancy stuff on it.
My opinion = Roof painted the same as the car...thumbs down!
