Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this site and its great. Tons of info!!!
I just got a call from my dealer here in Honolulu, HI telling me that my silver FJ, Package 2, Convenience Package, Side Airbags, Running Boards with msrp of $29,600 including destination charge is here.
They claim they are still on back order, and being that one company sells all the toyotas on the island of Oahu, it may be true. They say no discount and that all customers are paying MSRP.
Is everyone still paying MSRP in the mainland? What are west coast buyers paying?
I'm going in to pick up the car on Friday at the latest. I have never paid msrp for a car and don't plan to start now. Trying to milk out a roof rack, rubber mats and whatever else I can get from them.

Hi,
close to msrp is $500 or so off is a fair deal, the occasional story is $1,500 off msrp for a fully loaded model or MSRP for a special order

I paid MSPR for my Special Edition for 2 reasons, first, why would the dealer haggle when these vehicles are selling as fast as they hit the dealerships, and second, I still think that MSRP is an incredible value for what you get in these vehicles compared to say an H3 or any other FULL sized SUV's.

I bought two at once about a month ago and got 2-grand off of each.

Thanks for the replies. I picked up my silver FJ last week. Having tons of fun with it. Got it at MSRP at $29,600 for Package 2, Side Airbags, Running Boards, Convenience Package.
People on the streets ask a lot of questions about the car. Gets a lot of attention.
