I paid MSRP also which was 27,806. The funny thing is I went to another dealer originally who located my fj for me. However, they were charging a 3,000 dollar mark up. So, I drove about an hour to another dealer and got it for MSRP. Total difference of about $7500 after financing. Im glad to see everyone else is at least paying MSRP. Im just hoping that a few months down the road they cant be bought for under MSRP. I did some research on KBB.com and found out that invoice on my FJ was $24,763 which was pretty dissapointing. However, then I saw the average price paid around the US for this exact vehicle is $31,143. So hopefully I received a decent deal. I just hate the fact I had to pay $3,000 over invoice but I guess that is the price you pay for getting it early huh?

You got that right, early adopters always pay the price to be among the first.

It doesn't look like demand for the FJ is slowing down and first year production will be capped so our FJs should maintain their value longer than most. Compare that with a Kia Sorento people are paying $25K for and selling in two years for 10-12K.

The FJ should depreciate much slower than most.

Not that it matters to me though, I'm planning on keeping mine until it becomes a classic.

A friend wanted to get a Prius so I refered her to the same dealership I was buying my FJ from in NJ. We thought we both might get a deal, but I was the one that walked out with my truck costing $500 less than the MSRP.

Glad you saved a few bucks, now you have some extra money to upgrade .

My wife is interested in the Prius, but it sounds like they are still selling at MSRP. I think she might have to wait.
