Hey all,
I have been calling around everywhere trying to find somewhere to rent an FJ
Cruiser. My girlfriend and I are very interested in purchasing one but want
to spend a couple days on the road with one and really test it out over a
weekend. We live in Indianapolis and ive tried all the dealerships and
rental car companies with no luck. Please advise!
Thanks,

Brian

Be glad that you cant find one to rent, if they start bringing FJ's to the Avis or other rental car places the Value of the FJ's will be rock bottom in a few years after they put 20 - 30 thousand miles on them...they run them all through the used car auction for little to nothing and the value of the car hits rock bottom. If you want to test drive one go to a dealership and tell them you want to do a BCA thats a Borrowed Car Agreement for over night.

Brian,
I too live in the Indy area, Cumberland. I found that O'Brien and Butler to let you take out the truck by yourself and drive it as much as you want. I drove one for about 5 hours one day. Also go preapproved to buy one because it will make the process faster and you can bargain for a lower price. I found butler to be willing to sell for bottom dollar because they are concerned with volume sales more than service. Go to O'Brien for your service, they truly treat you like family and their parts department is tops.

Some Toyota dealers rent cars, but I'm not sure if any of these would have an FJ in their rental fleet. The official Toyota site used to show which dealers rent cars, not sure if this is still the case.

In general, most dealers will let you take a car for a day if they think you're serious about buying one.
