I will cover a complete install and review, beginning with recieving it.
After studying Allan Phillips Racing ECU offered for the 4.0 Toyota, I was impressed with the complete description of the product and what makes it work.

After discussion with David at APR I have recieved the package as described.
All parts are high quality and the download instruction are very detailed and easy to understand.

NOTE: The extra harness pictured is not to hack you exsisting harness, its for any additional sensors or injectors you may want to run . This computer system is completely plug-n-play

My truck will be back from the inner apron replacement on Monday. I will not be able to install the required components untill I get a baseline dyno done, with the stock intake installed. I cannot refit the stock exhaust, but this will be close to a stock set-up.
I will get real numbers and changes for mods installed, instead of reading it from a advertisement
My goal with this mod is to recapture some of the power, weight mods have taken away, because of batteries, gear, size of tires etc..
I will dyno with 285/70 R17 tires, that I run all the time.
The power is affected more on the road than the trail. Since I drive my truck all over the west to get to trails, this should help .
Other advantages are
Ability to tune a supercharger, without even needing a reflash of the factory ECU.

Tuning all other mods, like exhaust and CAI to get maximum gains.

Keeping the gains you tune, by sending the signals back to the factory ECU, that it likes, so it doesn't try to adjust your tuning.

A big window will be opened for possible alternative fuels.

Read the website, there is lots of information.

More to follow

Thanks
Don
