The first system upgrade I did was a JL Audio 250/1 amp and replace the stock sub with a JL8W3v2. To change the look of the "80's boom box" factory subwoofer I added suede, grill cloth and SEM paint.

Now it's time to step it up a little.
The equipment to be installed:
Alpine
iDA-X001
SPR-17S
SPR-13C
1-SWR-1242D
PDX-4.100
PDX-1.600
Tsunami-power wire, rca's, 14/2 twisted speaker wire, distribution block
PAC SWI-JACK steering wheel control interface

Metra-single din dash kit

The old system:

I resused the amprack I made for the 250/1. I had to modify it a bit to fit the 2 PDX amps

Here's my go at a custom sub enclousure. I've got the mock up done. The holes are drilled to secure it using the factory mounting hardware. The only thing left is everything:fleece, resin, fiberglass mat, marglass, body filler, spot putty, polyprimer, guide coat, SEM texture coat, then finally SEM paint color matched to the interior panel to get more of a factory look. Oh, how can I forget, and the endless hours of sanding.

I stretched the fleece and applied resin.

I added 5 layers of fiberglass mat to the inside ( I think that should be strong enough?), knocked the enclousure down with 36g and added body filler then sanded with 80g.
Finished installing the amps.

Side note: I do not do this professionally. I just like to fabricate so excepting all criticism. Always looking to "do it better" No hard feelings here.
