Which A-trac hack did you do? Did this problem happen right after you did the hack?

I did the hack just a couple of days after it was posted.I tried it out and everything worked like it was supposed to. This whole idiot light thing started Friday morning when I fired her up to go to work.I immediately took it on the street.put it in first gear(low range)to see if everything was still working properly.The lights remained on no matter what I tried.The rear locker still functioned,but no A-TRAC when I pushed the button.No wires were cut as I did it from inside the cab.

How long had you had the Hack "installed" before your problem surfaced? Do all FJC's come with A-Trac, you just need to install the button or a switch to activate it? Also, is the wiring and everything there as well for the 120v outlet in the rear and the sub, rear pillar speakers wiring and power there as well? Does anyone know?

Hey Runner, I talked to my dealer today and lo and behold, they've seen this before.The service writer said it's been a bad sensor,emmissions malfunctionor loose gas cap.I'm taking itin tomorrow to have it diagnosed.I'll let you know.

Aaaahhh. I've heard of the loose gas cap problem, too. Dang, I should have thought of that.
Not all FJC's have A-trac. You must have a 4x4 (not 2wd) and it must have the rear locker before you can add the A-trac for free. The wiring for the inverter is not there for all trucks. You are better off buying an aftermarket inverter, anyways. Cheaper and more powerful. Wiring for the sub and rear pillar speakers are there. Just add the speakers. The wiring is also there for the back-up sonar. Just add the sensors, and button. Cruise control can be added. Just buy the lever and small wiring harness. I priced it at about 120 bux Canadian. There is wiring for a second horn,fog lights, and rooftop lights as well, or so I've been told.
