Toyota Motor Sales today said pricing for 13 of its 2009 models will increase an average of about $240, or about 1 percent, from the previous year. Shipping charges also are going up.

On Friday, July 25, Toyota announced pricing on the 2009 versions of the Prius, Corolla and Avalon sedans, Matrix and Scion xD subcompacts, Sienna van, and FJ Cruiser, Land Cruiser 4Runner and Highlander SUVs.

The gas-electric Prius hybrid is getting the highest percentage increase. The Prius will start at $22,720, which includes shipping. The average price increase will be about $560, or 2.5 percent.

All pricings listed in the company's press release (see below) do not include shipping. The price of shipping increased $60 on all Toyota and $50 on Scion vehicles. Shipping will now be $720 for cars and $745 for the SUVs and van.
